Key Responsibilities


Directly support the company’s goals for growth through ongoing evaluation of talent strengths and talent gaps in the organization. Devise and implement learning processes that fill the gaps and build upon the organization’s talents, and reinforce the culture, in efficient ways. Be the champion of learning and development for the company.


Essential Functions


Identify needs or gaps

Identify individual and organizational development needs and gaps against company growth goals. Effectively use insights gained to influence decisions on when or how learning processes can enhance performance, while reinforcing the culture of the company.


Develop and execute solutions

Create and execute training content and delivery, or utilize 3rd party training providers where needed.

Implement various learning methods (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training) that most efficiently result in skill development, behavior change and culture practices that build strength for the organization.


Measure success

Constantly evaluate and measure the effectiveness of content and delivery of learning and adjust programming as needed for greater results.

Assess the success of individual career development plans and recommend adjustments for greater effectiveness.


Other responsibilities

Effectively coach managers, their direct reports and others involved in career development efforts.

Plan and track budgets for learning and development; make sound business decisions that achieve results and align with expense plans.





  • Proven success in learning and development management roles, and possess sincere desire to lead learning and development as an individual contributor.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field with a minimum of five years’ experience in learning and development roles.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of contemporary learning and development methods for adults in the workplace.
  • Ability to relate with line managers and leaders and recognize core business issues and needs; show genuine interest in addressing business issues within the framework of the role.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with employees, vendors and customers.
  • Effective project management skills and budgeting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential is a
  • Willingness to travel domestically approximately 15% of time.
