Position Purpose

The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator/eLearning Experience Designer serves as RMA’s primary LMS administrator and develops eLearning experiences. The position works with various areas in Professional Development and across the organization and reports to the Senior Manager, eLearning.

Principal Accountabilities

 

1.     Acts as the primary administrator for the Learning Management System, including and not limited to:

  • Performs content management tasks, such as and not limited to, ensuring consistent file naming conventions, back-up of source materials.
  • Develops business processes and manages system utilization.
  • Translates instructional design solutions into interactive and responsive applications as well as troubleshoots technical delivery issues across multiple platforms and devices (SCORM/Tin Can, web-delivery, PC, Mac, iPad).
  • Creates and maintains curricula, learning assets, evaluations and assessments in the LMS.
  • Ensures department standards for quality control are met when managing courses in the LMS.
  • Provides training to new users (internal and external) on how to use the LMS and products through live web seminars and presentations.
  • Maintains end user job aids, monitors and answers questions, and provides support for troubleshooting learner and system issues.
  • Administers user access and configures system settings
  • Continuously monitors course evaluations to recommend improvements in training.
  • Tracks and evaluates changes/new features of system upgrades, reviews issues, and provides comprehensive testing.
  • Assists with the management and maintenance of applications integrated with the LMS.

2.     Actively makes recommendations on product enhancements and use of new technology to enhance the user experience. Works with third party providers on product maintenance and enhancements of user interface platforms.

3.     Generates usage reports, creates analysis, and makes recommendations in order to target enhancement and sales strategies.

4.     In partnership with the Senior Manager, eLearning, develops learning solutions for multiple delivery methods including, and not limited to, web-based, virtual classroom, and blended instruction.

5.     Participates as a team member across the department, in implementing new customer tech support solutions, product application issues, and works issues to resolution coordinating with RMA technology vendors.

6.     Joins with Senior Manager as a team member in interdepartmental groups such as and not limited to Marketing, Relationship Management, and Customer Care to define new development opportunities for online products, to enhance products with new or improved features and functions, and to develop strategies for external communication.

7.     Works with Senior Manager on major projects and initiatives.

8.     Manages several large projects simultaneously, as well as day-to-day tasks and meets deadlines.

9.     Other duties as assigned.

10.  Responsible to administer and abide by all of RMA’s information technology policies and procedures.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional technology or similar discipline
  • Two (2) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems architecture.
  • Working knowledge of best practices in eLearning, instructional design models, and adult learning methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of various creative software and eLearning authoring tools with specific experience in Articulate Storyline.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying user needs and delivering customer service.
  • Experience producing technical and business writing.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and software testing skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and creative problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills and keeping abreast of new and emerging instructional technologies
  • Capability of working independently as well as with others
  • Experience with/knowledge of accessibility and usability standards 
  • Strong oral presentation and writing skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and respect for confidential information.
  • Presence, bearing, and style to work closely with professionals in financial services organizations.

 Additional experience in the following areas is a plus:

  • Experience in Instructional Design.
  • Experience working with an LMS.
  • Experience working with e-learning apps such as Articulate 360.
