Position Purpose

This position is responsible for the overall job evaluation and wage and salary management programs for the organization. This positions administers all pay for performance programs, conducts or participates in wage and salary surveys and recommends changes to maintain the organizations competitive position in the marketplace. The position is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive program that supports the organization's strategic direction and complies with regulatory requirements. 

 

 

 

Nature and Scope

This position is challenged with maintaining market competitive compensation programs to support recruitment, retention and employee engagement. The position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet customer demand in a fast-paced environment.

The position will provide guidance in compensation practices and principles to subordinate staff.

Description

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business required. Masters preferred. Proven experience in a similar role may be substituted for degree.  

Experience:

5-7 years of experience in progressively responsible positions within human resources required; 2-3 years of leadership preferred.

License(s):

None

Certification(s):

Preference will be given to applicants who have achieved the designation of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

Computer / Typing:

Must be intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
