Manager of Talent Strategies

Position Summary
The Foundation seeks a manager of Talent Strategies to serve as a strategic partner and change agent, developing and implementing effective talent acquisition and relations practices, performance evaluation and staff development that align the Foundation’s mission, standards and principles with talented employees. Together with the director of Human Resources and members of the Committee of Managers, the manager of Talent Strategies will focus on solutions, maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and provide guidance and advice on all talent and employee engagement issues.

• Support a human resource strategic plan including talent acquisition, career and professional development and employee engagement, while fostering positive relationships between employees and managers to ensure consistency in human resources and talent management policies and practices across the organization
• Lead the development and implementation of creative, effective talent management, succession planning and change management strategies to foster outstanding employee performance
• Develop an effective onboarding process to create a welcoming environment where open and transparent dialogue is valued and encouraged to attract and retain a diverse workforce
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues regarding employee conflicts
• Collaborate with managers to identify issues and enhance department/unit and organizational design, development and training needs
• Conduct an annual review of all job descriptions and recommend changes
• Develop and maintain an effective performance review process including employee self-evaluation, manager feedback and ongoing review and discussion
• Coordinate and conduct exit interviews
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and advise supervisors on legal implications of human resource issues
• Direct the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the Foundation
• Provide a broad range of consultative services to all levels of employees regarding policies and procedures
• Facilitate communication among employees and management; guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance
• Provide expertise in strategy development and execution, planning and facilitation of employee relations efforts
• Assist with planning, implementation and ongoing maintenance of employee relations and equal employment opportunity and diversity programs
• Design and develop human resource training programs for managers and employees
• Develop annual curriculums and learning activities
• Review evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments
• Assess effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance
• Consult with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters; conduct needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall Foundation performance
• Work closely with the Organizational Development team in designing and facilitating monthly staff meetings
• Exhibit sensitivity to and respect for diversity in personal, professional and business relationships on behalf of the Foundation
• Seek to use Foundation resources in an equitable manner with regard to race, ethnicity and gender
• Demonstrate awareness of and appreciation for the Foundation’s mission, values, standards, principles and programs, drawing on Casey’s knowledge management system, intranet, website, staff development sessions and other learning opportunities to establish this competency

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, organizational development, human services or a similar/related field
• A minimum three years of managerial experience
• A minimum five years of talent management experience required
• Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) certification highly preferred
