ASME generates approximately $115 million annually from the sale of products and services and provides a wide range of mission focused programs and activities.

The Manager, Talent Acquisition will be key member of the HR team accountable for creating best-in-class recruiting strategy and process. Performing full-life-cycle recruitment for a variety of business units, this individual will build partnerships with our leaders and hiring teams in order to source and select qualified candidates. The Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for ensuring positive candidate experiences and developing effective recruiting solutions. Day-to-day activities include tasks such as: 

  • Utilizing ATS to post jobs, review resumes, track and disposition candidates
  • Coordinating all phases of interview process including scheduling, screening, interviewing and gathering feedback
  • Using creative sourcing strategies to engage passive candidates
  • Reviewing employment applications and conduct pre-employment checks; ensuring compliance with recruiting process and applicable regulations
  • Managing selection/job offer process, including creating offer letters
  • Facilitating onboarding by coaching managers and conducting new employee orientation
  • Reporting on quarterly/annual metrics such as time-to-fill, cost per hire, sourcing, etc.



This position requires a passion for Talent Acquisition along with bachelor’s degree (or additional equivalent experience) in business or a related discipline plus a minimum of 5 years’ corporate Human Resources experience.  Qualified candidates will have a successful track record of performing full-life-cycle recruiting and be both process and detail-oriented. Must be proficient in MS Office, applicant tracking systems (ATS) and social media.  Working knowledge of labor and employment regulations and practices is needed (SHRM Certification preferred). Demonstrated excellence in the following skills and competencies are required:

  • Organizational skills and sense of urgency to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • HR ethics, integrity and sound judgement

The role is based in the NY Office and will require periodic visits to the NJ office for client and candidate meetings.
