The Organization Development (OD) Consultant will be responsible for identifying, creating and facilitating programs that assist the organization in areas of leadership development, organization redesign, team development, change management, strategic planning, conflict resolution, and other areas of organization development deemed necessary.

 

This position will act as a change agent providing support and assistance to implement major changes to the operations of campus departments, and will provide coaching to leaders and executives on organizational growth, engaging employees, and addressing culture/climate.

 

This position will consult with departments and mount appropriate interventions. This includes identifying needs and utilizing a range of consulting and facilitation practices and strategies. The OD consultant will gather and synthesize data, design processes, define strategy, and address culture to enhance organizational capability. This is client-based work, assisting divisions and departments, by advising and coaching leaders in all levels.

 
Who we are:

Organization & Employee Development (OED) provides training and facilitation for individuals and intact teams throughout the Boulder campus. Our courses range from leadership development to workplace skills, and are designed to build skills and knowledge in workplace trends and needs. Our Organization Development Specialists provide a range of services including strategic planning, problem solving, retreat design and facilitation, team development, and conflict resolution.

 
What your key responsibilities will be:
  • Lead strategic planning for departments and Divisions.
  • Design and implement organizational effectiveness interventions.
  • Conduct organization diagnostic efforts.
  • Recommend training and development solutions.

The salary range for this position starts at $110,000.

Requirements

What we require:
  • BA in Organization Development, Human Resources Management, Psychology or another closely related field.
  • 5 - 8 years of related experience in a large organization providing organizational development services.
What you will need:
  • Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong follow-through required.
  • Understanding of the field of organization development, the goals of the work, and the methods utilized by OD practitioners.
  • Demonstrated skills in advanced facilitation techniques and presentation development.
  • Must have previous experience working independently.
What we’d like you to have:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Previous work in higher education or with faculty.

Preferred qualifications may be used to further reduce the pool of applicants to those who are most highly qualified.
