POSITION TITLE: Recruiter, Central Region

REPORTS TO: Area Human Resources Manager

LOCATION:   Seguin, TX

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Commercial Metals Company is currently seeking a Recruiter to support multiple lines of business and locations in the Central region. This is an opportunity to help evolve our recruiting function for the company. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to help define the role for the organization and have a positive impact on the non-exempt hiring process and results. This individual will build relationships with the business through excellence in recruitment process delivery including sourcing, screening, assessing and putting forth the best candidates for open positions. The role requires candidate relationship management, customer focus and responsiveness. This also includes performing administrative duties that support the recruiting function (posting jobs, scheduling interviews, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for day to day interaction with internal business leaders, colleagues and HR
  • Conduct role briefing with hiring manager and set expectations for recruitment process
  • Post jobs to CMC career page and other relevant sites
  • Effectively communicate position opportunity and value proposition to all candidates and manage them effectively throughout the recruitment process
  • Pre-screen qualified applicants and present top candidates to hiring managers
  • Document, track, and maintain applicant records and status of open positions in applicant tracking system, ensuring documentation is in alignment with Affirmative Action requirements
  • Manage walk in applicants and application process (if applying online is not an option)
  • Develop and maintain relationships and seek referrals of other candidates
  • Manage candidate expectations and ensure timely and constructive feedback
  • Schedule candidate interviews with hiring managers (phone, in-person) including travel if required
  • Initiate drug, background, physical process for all new hires
  • Work with local temp agencies to help support seasonal or temp to perm hiring needs
  • Provide responsive and proactive customer service via telephone, e-mail, etc.
  • Tracks and analyzes hiring metrics to assess recruitment process and provide feedback to the team
  • Partners with business clients in recommending new hire salary offers
  • Partner with the HR team to create offer letters, position descriptions and other marketing materials that support recruiting activities (job fairs, etc.) to also include college recruiting
  • Partner with the HR team and Employee Services on new hire process
  • Coordinate and ensure compliance and AAP tracking
  • Assist with job descriptions and maintain job posting library
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and other locations as needed
  • Develop & implement sourcing strategy & channels to build relevant talent pools
  • Suggest process improvements to help create efficiencies

Requirements

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in full life-cycle recruiting either in an HR environment or at a staffing agency
  • Minimum 2 years of sourcing or recruiting experience required within an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a large workload
  • Ability to build effective relationships within and across the business
  • Experience using the Internet for research
  • Familiar with applicant tracking systems, updating records and information ensuring system integrity and accuracy of data
  • Experience working with individuals at various levels of an organization
  • Highly organized with a focus on details and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Self-initiative along with ability to respond quickly to client requests
  • Able to effectively cope with change in a fast paced environment
  • Exposure to Affirmative Action requirements a plus

 EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
