JF Hillebrand offers a full range of freight forwarding services to the beverage community: ocean freight, air freight, intermodal, domestic trucking, and customs house brokerage, in addition to a number of special value-added services.

Responsibilities include:

Talent Acquisition

• Recruit for the US & Canada companies.
• Consult with managers to understand their hiring needs.
• Post positions to Company’s Careers website and internet-based job boards.
• Establish and enhance the utilization of university relationships and career fairs for talent acquisition.
• Interview candidates and provide concise candidate summaries to hiring managers.
• Facilitatebackground/reference checks and other candidate screening activities.
• Provide compensation analysis for offers.
• Produce offer letters. Handletheoffer process.
• Contribute to the new hire onboarding process. Ensure all orientation materials and practices are current and informative.


• Fairly and impartially investigate and mediate employee relations issues; lend guidance and direction to managers and other stakeholders.
• Actively ensure accurate job descriptions exist and are accessible and systematically organized for all positions companywide.
• Participate in projects and company initiatives. As new initiatives surface, ensure existing HR priorities continue to receive appropriate handling.
• Back up others in the Human Resources department.
• Identify and address process improvement needs within the Human Resources function.
• Provide periodic and ad-hoc reports: open positions, miscellaneous ad-hoc reports. Possibly also generate headcount, turnover, organizational charts.
• Other duties as assigned, which will change periodically.


• Bachelors degree preferred.
• 3 or more years of talent acquisition experience.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• Good understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate-level Excel knowledge strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels in the organization in verbal and written form; ability to listen effectively and influence others.
• Team-player outlook; ability to collaborate effectively.
• Inclination to succeed and thrive while working independently.
• Experience providing HR support to employees outside the UnitedStates preferred.
• Strong service orientation, desire to satisfy internal and external customers.
• Analytical skills; ability to understand complicated concepts and use systems and data to solve and prevent problems.
• Ability to prioritize.
• Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR-related subject matter.
• Willingness to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience using ADP software/services and performing data reporting and analysis using ADP products.
