RJN Group is currently seeking a dynamic Recruiter to join our HR department in our corporate headquarters in beautiful downtown Wheaton, Illinois. This role will have full control of the organization's recruiting processes, and therefore requires a candidate with exceptional skills and creativity. 

Position Summary:

The Recruiter is primarily responsible for administering the Organization’s recruiting programs: collecting and maintaining a pool of candidates in the various geographies that RJN staffs, interviewing and testing applicants, working with outside agency and recruiting partners, and coordinating efforts with hiring managers and local office administrators. In addition, the Recruiter will assist the HR department with other critical areas of focus including: employee onboarding, employee document compliance, employee relations issues, and other areas as determined by the departmental objectives. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, knowledge of clerical and specialized functions of a Human Resources department, a basic understanding of an Company’s organizational structure as well as possess working, practical knowledge of personnel policy and procedure, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

  • Processes job requisitions.
  • Coordinates with and advises hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
  • Acts as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies.
  • Screens and interviews applicants.
  • Coordinates appropriate employment testing.
  • Conducts employment verifications.
  • Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.
  • Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing.
  • Maintains employee referral program.
  • Conducts orientation of new employees.
  • Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing of health, employment and insurance forms, notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
  • Completes weekly report on employment activity.
  • Conducts exit interviews with terminating employees.
  • Completes unemployment claims.


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a human resources-related discipline.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in recruiting both hourly / service roles as well as technical / professional roles. Direct experience in recruiting engineers preferred.
  • Previous experience sourcing passive candidates; building and maintaining a candidate slate for critical hires.
  • Previous experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems, UltiPro preferred.
