The Regional HR manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leadership in designated regional business units throughout the mid-Atlantic and New England Region (I-95 corridor). The position serves as a consultant to leadership on human resource-related issues. The successful candidate acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The regional HR business partner maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.


Essential Functions

  1. Conducts monthly meetings with satellite business units.
  2. Consults with line leadership, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  3. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  4. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  5. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day engagement of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. .
  6. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  7. Works closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  8. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Proficient and conversant in all Pyle benefit programs, and proactively serves as a resource to employees to answer questions and facilitate solutions.
  9. Provides guidance and input on satellite business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  10. Identifies training needs for satellite business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  11. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  12. Identify and communicate with the “thought leaders” who are the informed opinion leaders and the go-to-people in each facility.  Use the influence of these thought leaders to deliver sustainable change.
  13. Perpetuate Pyle Culture through the expansive and repetitive communication of Pyle core values across all levels in the organization.
  14. Strong and effective communicator earning consensus credibility among staff in the facilities.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.  The role entails time spent in our Docks, Fleet Maintenance Shops and Offices proactively engaging employees.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position requiring availability and presence to support our 24 x 5.5 operations. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.


Regular travel is required between the satellite business units in the region mid-Atlantic and New England Region (I-95 corridor).


Required Education and Experience

  1. Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  2. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  3. Bilingual a plus

    Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience.


    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
