JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective 

The Senior Manager- HR/Director-HR is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. Brief overview of the role and functions:

  • Develop strategic workforce plan to align and support business objectives
  • HR Subject Matter expert 
  • Oversee functions of HR department including Compensation, Benefits, Internal Recruitment, Retention, Engagement and Culture 
  • Evaluate HR programs and policy effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements in alignment with organizational goals and market trends or factors 
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as but not limited to equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes 
  • Oversee and perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures 
  • Drive departmental efficiency and effectiveness by championing systems, technology and implementation of programs and solutions to achieve organizational objectives 
  • Perform special projects as needed or assigned by executive leadership 
  • Present metrics to executive leadership on periodic basis 
  • Consult with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters. 
  • Recommend, evaluate and participate in staff development for the organization. 
  • Develop and maintain a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs. 
  • Ensure organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. 
  • Communicate changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed. 
  • Demonstrated capability in Risk Management

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field.

SHRM certification is a huge plus

At least 5 plus years as an HR Manager

Work experience with a IT/ Staffing organization is a huge plus

Demonstrated ability and commitment to increase employee engagement, productivity, employee relations and effective communication.
