Senior Organizational Development Consultant (R18-410)

Provide organizational development services to support PGE’s strategic objectives and initiatives and to improve the practice and performance of managers/supervisors and their work groups. Provide consulting on organizational strategies, design, organization and individual performance, and cultural. Identify, assess, recommend, deliver and/or broker appropriate interventions to increase organizational, leadership and individual effectiveness.

 

You will support our journey by:

 

  • Consult with officers, managers, supervisors and individual contributors to identify and implement appropriate strategies for improving performance, enhancing cultural competence, manage change and resolve problems.

  • Assess individual and organization performance, using a variety of standardized tools including survey feedback methodology including, as examples, focus groups, 360-degree assessments, and leadership and individual style assessments. Interpret and facilitate discussion of and action planning with clients.

  • Recommend and carry out appropriate interventions such as, process consulting, team development activities, workshops, seminars, training, coaching, process improvement facilitation, skills, and large group dialogue.

  • Recommend and serve as an organizational change agent to improve organizational effectiveness in such areas as leadership and career development, management process improvements, organizational values (Guiding Behaviors), workforce and succession planning reorganizations, etc.

  • Develop tools and methods support increased effectiveness of employees, such as management and employee performance profiles, feedback surveys, and learning activities catalogues. Develop programs to support those models such as management and employee development training curriculums, forums and accelerated learning programs.

  • Partner with other human resources functions to improve systems and techniques which strengthen organization development practices, such as recruitment and selection, performance planning and assessment, rewards and recognition programs.

Requirements

You will bring the following skills to our team:

 

  • Thorough knowledge of organizational behavior understanding and organization development theories and techniques.

  • Thorough knowledge of management consulting/coaching techniques and quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement change and provide coaching and feedback in a constructive manner.

  • Thorough knowledge of training program design, adult learning theory, and state-of-the-art training techniques.

Demonstrated ability to design, develop and promote organizational effectiveness initiatives to sustain and enhance PGE's human resources capability to perform in the future.

 

The successful candidate will typically have increasingly complex experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or preferably a Masters in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field such as, Management and Industrial Relations, M.B.A. with emphasis on organizational behavior and consulting, or similar, plus 10 years of responsible experience.
