Harris is seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter to proactively source, screen and lead the hiring of new talent for our firm. This position offers a tremendous platform for growth in an entrepreneurial and supportive team environment.

Your role will be to partner with leaders across the firm, building organizational capacity and fueling our culture with individuals who align with our core values and mission and serve as experts for our clients.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter, consultative and result oriented.  Prior success identifying and recruiting project managers, engineers, consultants, and construction staff at all levels is a must.


  • Manage full life-cycle recruitment process, to include developing and implementing search strategies, sourcing candidates, pre-screening, interviewing and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, negotiating offers and facilitating the hiring and on-boarding processes

  • Consult with hiring managers at all levels, prioritizing searches.  Establish clear expectations.  Coach and guide hiring managers on all aspects of the hiring process, including but not limited to hiring strategies, recruiting timeline, recruitment best practices and sourcing trends

  • Build relationships and communicate consistently and proactively throughout the recruitment process to ensure all participants in the hiring process are well informed

  • Own and create a positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the entire lifecycle of the recruiting process

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement recruitment marketing strategies, increasing the recruitment funnel and driving hiring outcomes

  • Promote Harris & Associates as a preferred employer, networking with industry experts, professional industry related associations, and colleges, building rich passive candidate pipelines

  • Manage contingent recruiting efforts, supporting the company’s future growth

  • Update and maintain applicant tracking system (JazzHR) and associated applicant tracking processes and legal requirements

  • Ensure adherence to EEO and OFCCP guidelines and other government compliance requirements



Qualifications & Experience:


  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive full life-cycle recruiting experience including 3+ years industry experience in engineering, construction, and professional services

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Demonstrated experience managing large requisition load (20+ searches)

  • Demonstrated sourcing skills to attract passive candidates, including cold calling

  • Experience working with geographically-dispersed, virtual teams

  • Demonstrated success working independently and in a team environment

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, including ability to identify existing or potential challenges and recommend solutions

  • Demonstrated agility based on ever changing critical needs of a growing company

  • Strong business and financial acumen

  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of employment laws, prevailing wage, and OFCCP compliance

  • Ability to travel to other Harris offices and recruiting events (15-20%)

Additional Preferred Experience:


  • Recruiting experience to include executive level searches (VP, C-Suite)

  • A combination of corporate and agency recruiting experience

  • Experience working with JazzHR (ATS)

  • High level understanding of all components of Human Resources (labor laws, compensation, benefits, etc.)
