Job Description Summary

The Sr Rewards Analyst is responsible for Bel’s benefit and retirement programs.  Assist in developing innovative strategies and programs that are aligned with the business objectives.  This position reports to the Senior Total Rewards Manager and involves a high degree of interaction with vendors, employees and managers.  Will provide support to site HR staff on any employee benefit programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all benefit programs including: day to day administration, invoice processing, leave management, annual analysis of benefit offerings, vendor management, open enrollment, 401(k) audits.
  • Manage communications inclusive of approval of benefit and retirement materials.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with broker and carriers.
  • Responsible for managing annual filings for benefit and 401(k) plans.
  • Ensure plans meet current and future requirements of the Affordable Care Act regulations and legislation.  Responsible for timely filings.  Ensures statutory compliance with FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA and HIPAA legislation. 
  • Recommend and implement benefit plan and process changes. Revise and update benefit plan documents. Research, analyze, and report the impact of state and federal laws on the benefits plan design and administration.  Identify trends and opportunities to modify and improve benefit programs, policies and procedures and manage costs.
  • Manage benefit administration system implementation.  Responsible for keeping information current and maximizing system that meets employees need.
  • Co-lead the Wellness program.  Identify and create initiatives consistent with the mission and vision of the Wellness Program.
  • Identify tools and other resources to assist site HR find efficiencies in processes.

Requirements

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum degree and required:

  • Minimum 5 years of benefit administration required. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
  • Industry-specific certification (PHR, CBP, CEBS, CCP) preferred.

Specific skills/competencies required:

  • Thorough understanding of state and federal regulations relating to benefit plans and all applicable laws relating to benefit administration (including COBRA, HIPPA, and ERISA), and can effectively work within company policies and state/federal laws.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Requires strong oral, written and communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills.  Must be client- focused at all times, exemplifying a professional and friendly presence.
  • Able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be assertive and accountable for actions and results.

Must be able to move the team toward common goals and work to resolve any issues amongst the team

Must be forward thinking with the ability to plan/coordinate tasks and prioritize with efficiency. 

Working Conditions:  Work is performed largely in an office environment.  Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Occasional travel may be required.
