CMT, a full-service civil engineering firm with over 300 employees and 16 offices, who is committed to providing its clients value-based solutions to the challenges they face, and ranks among our nation’s top engineering firms, is actively seeking to add a talented, experienced Human Resources professional to our team. This human resource position will assist in taking our Human Resources department to the next level, offering a challenge to the right candidate.

As a human resource professional initially focusing on the recruitment function of our company, you will support our managers and project teams, and play a key, active role providing direction and support to our hiring managers. This initial focus will be on the entire recruitment life cycle process from requisition to onboarding, to include campus recruiting and intern programs. In addition to recruitment activities, this position will support other human resources related organization functions to include benefits administration and employee relations.

Position Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, business or related field.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of human resources of progressive, generalist work experience, with an emphasis and proven track record on talent acquisition and strong knowledge across all HR disciplines: recruiting, benefits, employee relations and employment law.

  • Knowledge of best practices and latest trends and benchmark data in talent acquisition.

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations and requirements.

  • Must possess a high level of integrity, ethics, honesty and fairness, the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and communicate demonstrating respect for all employees and promoting inclusion of diverse workforce.

  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office products.

  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and the ability to work independently.

  • Must be able to organize and maintain flexible scheduling to coordinate all job responsibilities; overnight and day travel to CMT offices and college campuses will be required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Excellent analytical skills to create and analyze HR related data.

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

  • Experience supporting multi-site workforce is preferred.
