SVB is looking for a Staffing Coordinator to support our growing team. This is a contract position located at our headquarters in Santa Clara.

We’re looking for someone who is an effective communicator and excels at fielding requests from a high-energy group with a broad range of personalities.

Are you enthusiastic and love learning? In this role you would have the opportunity to develop your staffing operations experience through a diverse collection of tasks that goes beyond scheduling and has exposure to many other departments within HR and throughout SVB.

This role is important to our Staffing team, and through a close partnership with our recruiters, has a significant impact on SVB’s long-term success as we hire new SVB’ers all over the world.

Specific duties will entail, but are not limited to:

  • Requisition management, including the auditing of approved requisitions, the posting of open positions to external job boards, and the closing of filled requisitions.
  • Testing, documentation, and improvement of our candidate experience.
  • Support of the candidate offer process by auditing offer requests, drafting offer letters, and preparing new hire packets.
  • Daily maintenance of applicant tracking system, including opening requisitions, troubleshooting system errors, and maintaining data related to requisition/candidate activity.
  • Invoice processing for Staffing expenses.
  • Coordination of team meetings and events.
  • Interaction and communication with hiring managers, HR colleagues, and external vendors as it pertains to staffing issues/needs.
  • Ongoing support of SVB’s background check, affirmative action, immigration, university relations, relocation, and global mobility programs.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years relevant experience in a professional setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills that include presenting the department professionally in all contact with internal or external partners.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and great follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects.
  • Possess a “team-first” attitude. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Recruiting and/or HR software packages (such as Taleo, Workday, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience desired.
