POSITION: VP/SVP HUMAN RESOURCES 

OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Executive to lead our HR initiatives. The candidate will manage related operations, including the planning and managing of HR programs, staff training, and counseling.  The Human Resources Executive will also take the lead in developing organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues.

In this highly visible role, the successful candidate will also serve as a forward-thinking leader, responsible for identifying, developing and implementing key human resources initiatives.

Working with functional leaders and employees, the SVP of HR will drive the overall Human Resources strategy and solutions in alignment with business and operating goals.  He/She will possess outstanding skills of influence and diplomacy and shall be challenging and proactive.  Keys to success in this role include an eye for innovation and an adaptable and nimble approach.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create an HR strategy, including performance management, employee development, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, retention, compliance and culture initiatives.

  • Supports management by providing human resources direction, advice, and counsel

  • Diagnose opportunities for learning and development programs; develop and facilitate organization-specific training sessions; assess training effectiveness through evaluations.

  • Guides management and employee actions by developing HR guidelines, communicating the guidelines and enforcing organization values

  • Serves as a key point of contact for employment relations

  • Partner with management to resolve employee relation issues; provide coaching and counseling to management and staff; collaborate with legal counsel on issues as appropriate.

  • Leads company’s compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal requirements

  • Anticipate and limit litigation risks, deal with grievances and violations invoking a disciplinary action when required

  • Establishes and maintains company records and reports, company organization charts and employee directory

  • Report to executive management by analyzing data and using HR metrics

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as HR Executive, seven or more years of HR managerial experience preferred

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Understanding of cultural norms, traditions, and working with diverse teams

  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MSc/MA in human resources will be a plus, PHR/SPHR preferred
