As DAP’s Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing sourcing, recruitment and selection strategies to meet the talent requirements of the business in a timely manner while ensuring consistency with talent acquisition practices and standards. You will design, drive, and develop processes, systems, training, measurement, and optimize talent acquisition strategies. You’ll also support various HR functions as needed, which may include training and development, employee relations, employee engagement, benefits, and payroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruitment Process: Manage DAP’s recruitment process from beginning to end, including identifying recruitment needs, managing relationships and negotiating contracts with recruitment boards and search agencies, preparing and posting job advertisements, partnering with leaders and hiring managers to develop sourcing strategies to meet current and future needs, reviewing resumes, arranging and conducting telephone and on-site interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing employment offers.
  • Selection Process: Deploy a range of innovative and effective sourcing and selection interventions to identify and attract a diverse pool of high caliber internal and external talent. Screen and interview candidates and make valued recommendations to hiring managers, ensuring cultural fit and quality standards.
  • Employer Branding: Develop a strong employer branding strategy for DAP by identifying what key differentiators sets DAP apart from competitors. Leverage candidate communications and social media to convey the company culture and employee experience. Work closely with HR team to stay up-to-date on workplace culture initiatives, and develop and executive upon strategies to leverage culture to ensure the right fit.
  • Building and Maintaining Talent Pools: Effectively build and manage talent pools for all roles, including developing partnerships with colleges and universities. Proactively research and investigate new strategies for sourcing candidates across multiple media platforms.
  • Internship Program: Manage the life cycle for DAP’s internship program, including identifying needs, preparing and posting advertisements, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and preparing employment offers. Assess and modify the internship program as needed to ensure interns have a valuable learning and employment experience, while benefiting DAP through intern contributions to the organization, development of the talent pipeline and a positive employer brand.
  • Applicant Tracking System: Manage the ATS and workflow to ensure a highly efficient recruitment process for candidates, hiring managers and HR users.   Mine candidates stored within ATS to generate candidates for current and upcoming recruitment needs. Develop and generate reports to provide visibility into recruitment status and metrics.
  • Support Other HR Functions: Act as an HR Generalist as needed, providing support for various other HR functions, which may include, but is not limited to, employee engagement, employee relations, training and development, benefits, and payroll.

Requirements

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • SHRM-CP and/or HRCI PHR certification preferred
  • 5 years of experience managing recruitment and selection, including the design and implementation of selection techniques and the use of social media to broaden candidate pools
  • 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist capacity
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including strong grammar skills
  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully negotiate and influence at the highest levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated customer focus and strong action orientation
  • Ability to think strategically, independently and creatively, and take ownership of critical issues
  • Strong organizational agility - able to adapt to ambiguous situations and make solid decisions with limited information
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage time, priorities and projects
  • Experience with implementation and management of applicant tracking systems, including Taleo Business Edition, is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
