This position will develop and maintain policies, procedures and programs to provide effective HR support with regard to Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Employment/Placement, and Talent Management, which contribute to the company’s current and future needs. This role will analyze benefits programs in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the organization’s benefit practices. The ultimate goal of this role is to support and sustain a high performing culture that attracts, motivates, retains and rewards employees. You will work closely with managers across the business to coach and influence them ensuring decisions are made in line with legislation whilst reviewing employee relation trends across the business and making recommendations of improvement where necessary.

Requirements

  • Member of HR Leadership Team and reports to the CHRO.

  • Leads the development, implementation, and administration of strategic total rewards plans.
  • Manages benefits programs and vendor partnerships for health, 401k, life, disability, medical savings accounts, paid time off, and voluntary plans
  • Ensure benefit programs and policies remain competitive, are aligned with company strategy, and meet all legal requirements.
  • Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work with HR leadership to educate managers.
  • Provide data analysis and prepare reports on process performance metrics.
  • Provide input and recommendations to ensure existing practices are effectively demonstrating company values and the achievement of targeted business goals.
  • Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices pertaining to benefit plan design and policy. Lead end to end review of policy suite and employee experience for whole employee journey.
  • Responsible for standardization of plans and programs for recruiting, selecting, onboarding, developing and retaining employees.
  • Responsible for effective coordination and execution of payroll through the Finance department.
  • Assure full compliance of Code of Conduct and internal policies and regulations.
  • Lead employee communication plan and activities according to business objectives/priorities, local community and HR priorities. Includes COs on regular employee communication needs including town hall meeting, leadership messages and videos, employee roundtables, newsletter etc.

Measures of Success

  • Effective communication to all levels within the organization regarding all responsible programs.
  • Consistent and continuous communication and insight to Senior Management on performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Total Reward strategies presented to Executive Team and/or Board members are approved.
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Driving change and improving efficiencies gained within unionized environment.

  • The development, implementation, execution and administration of Human Resource policies and programs.

  • Implementation of a communications strategy.

 

 

Qualification Requirements

 

  • MA in Human Resources

 

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in human resources management, benefits management, business unit management, financial or other data analysis related to HR programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, manage and inspire others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex data and arrive at sound business decisions.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • HR experience in a manufacturing industry (perf. unionized) with a proven track record of successful management of HR Teams, roles and responsibilities.
  • Customer focus, action and results oriented, ethics and values, integrity and trust, teamwork, leadership, negotiation and communication.
